Gregory Paul Barbour - Administrator, Foreign-Trade Zone Division, DBEDT, State of Hawaii

Over the past 20 years, Barbour has built a notable career at the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT).  During his tenure with DBEDT, Barbour has served as Executive Director of the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority, Manager of the State Tourism Office and Assistant to the Director of DBEDT.  He has represented the DBEDT on the Boards of the High Technology Development Corporation, Hawaii Strategic Development Corporation and the Housing and Community Development Corporation of Hawaii.

Most recently, Gregory P. Barbour has been involved with the Foreign-Trade Zone program and was appointed as the Chief Administrator in June 2005.  He is responsible for the operation, maintenance, development and expansion of the foreign-trade zone program throughout Hawaii.  It also operates a“one-stop” international trade center which includes warehousing, offices and other incubator services to importers and exporters in Hawaii.
